1-year update renewal (automatic or manual)PaddleSection 5 of this document

This document applies to ShouArchive licenses and update renewals paid for on this site. The trial starts without a payment method and involves no payment, so it is not subject to refunds (Section 3).

2. Who processes payment (Paddle)

ShouArchive payments are handled by Paddle as the Merchant of Record. Paddle verifies payment methods, calculates and charges tax, issues receipts and carries out refunds. So refund requests also go through Paddle's channels, and refunds are returned to your original payment method by Paddle, not sent by the seller directly.

How this relates to Paddle's policy. Paddle runs a standard refund policy (paddle.com/legal/refund-policy): "if a request is made within 14 days of the transaction, Paddle may issue a refund at its discretion", and statutory minimum periods in each region take precedence — 7 days in Korea, Brazil and China; 14 days in the EU, UK, Switzerland, Turkey and Israel; 7 days in Canada; 5 days in Singapore. This document goes further and promises a full refund, no questions asked, within 14 days of payment. The withdrawal period under Korea's E-Commerce Act is 7 days; this document goes further and promises 14 days.

3. Trial

  • The 14-day trial starts inside the app with no payment method. Nothing is charged automatically during or after the trial, so there is nothing to refund.
  • If the trial ends without a key, profile management (including download, creation and device registration), file inspection, API key management and history (viewing records only) keep working; app build, job queue, app upload, device installation, re-signing, library, IPA cleanup, OTA distribution and store publishing open up again once you buy.

4. Refunds for the first purchase

  • Within 14 days of payment, we refund in full. No reason is asked. It's fine if you have already used the app.
  • Once refunded, the license is revoked, every registered Mac is deactivated, and automatic update renewal (the subscription) is cancelled. The app locks as if the trial had ended (only the features listed in Section 3 remain). The same key cannot be used again.
  • The first purchase includes both the license and 1 year of updates, so both are refunded together.

5. Refunds for update renewals

  • A 1-year update renewal is also refunded in full within 14 days of payment. This applies the same way to automatic and manual renewals.
  • Once refunded, only your update period moves back to the date before the renewal. Your license and registered Macs stay and the app keeps working — versions released within the restored period remain usable, and versions released after it require renewing again before they can be installed.
  • A partial refund, such as a refund of tax only, does not affect your license or update period.

6. Turning off auto-renewal is not a refund

Turning off auto-renewal only stops payment from the next renewal on; it does not return money you have already paid. To reverse a renewal you have paid for, request a refund within 14 days under Section 5. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from the management link in Paddle's billing emails or in the app under Settings › License › "Manage billing…", and the app does not stop when you do.

7. When we refund in full regardless of timing

  • The same payment was processed twice.
  • You were charged for a product other than the one sold.
  • The amount charged differs from the price on the Pricing page (excluding tax).
  • Payment went through but no license key was issued, and contacting us did not resolve it.
  • An outage on the seller's side kept you from using the app for a long time — in this case we extend your update period or refund in full.

8. How to request a refund

  1. Send your payment email and order number (on the Paddle receipt) to support@shouarchive.beakbig.com. The seller requests the refund from Paddle right away — this is the fastest way.
  2. You can also ask Paddle directly: use the link in the Paddle receipt email, or find your order with your payment email at paddle.net.
  3. Card refunds usually take 3–5 business days and go back to the original payment method. When the money actually arrives depends on your card issuer and payment method.

Tax added at payment (VAT, GST and so on) is handled by Paddle together with the refund amount.

9. When refunds are not given

  • More than 14 days have passed since payment — except in the cases in Section 7, and where the law of your country provides a longer period or broader rights, in which case that law applies.
  • Refunds appear to be abused, for example by repeatedly buying again after a refund and asking for another refund.
  • The license was suspended for violating the Terms of Service, for example by sharing the license key with others or redistributing the app.

Chargebacks (asking your card issuer to cancel the payment) — a chargeback on the first purchase revokes the license (registered Macs remain, so if the chargeback is reversed the license is restored automatically). A chargeback on a renewal payment only moves the update period back to before the renewal and turns off auto-renewal. Please request a refund the way described above first — it is processed faster.
